On January 25–26, 2025, a partnership meeting was held in Kyiv, organized by the DVV International Representative Office in Ukraine as part of the project “Enhancing the Professionalization of Adult Learning and Education (ALE) Centers in Europe.” The event was attended by representatives of the Lifelong Learning Centre in Sumy, Stanislav and Tetiana Kotenko.

Throughout the meeting, participants discussed the key challenges faced by Adult Learning and Education (ALE) Centers in Ukraine and collaboratively planned activities for 2025. Special attention was given to the topics of financial independence of ALE Centers, opportunities for additional funding, and strategies to strengthen the centers’ capacities in the future.

A particularly engaging discussion focused on new project ideas and the analysis of the needs of both program participants and the ALE Centers themselves in terms of training and consultations. Additionally, the project indicators for 2025–2027 and strategies for their implementation were reviewed.

This meeting served as an excellent platform for experience sharing and joint problem-solving, aimed at reinforcing the role of ALE Centers as key institutions for adult education in Ukraine.

We sincerely thank DVV International Ukraine for organizing such an important and insightful event!
