We are pleased to announce that one of the most in-demand educational courses of our project in June 2024 was “How to Talk to a Veteran?” This course attracted the attention of 138 participants, including veterans, their families, and professionals from various fields looking to deepen their understanding of communication with veterans.
The course program covered a wide range of relevant topics related to the reintegration of veterans into civilian life, including:
- How to support veterans in conversations on difficult topics;
- What questions should and should not be asked when communicating with individuals who have experienced military service;
- Methods to improve communication and understanding between veterans and their loved ones;
- Psychological aspects of adapting to civilian life.
Our guest speakers—experts in military psychology, communication, and social support—particularly captured the attention of participants. They shared their extensive experience in working with veterans, and participants praised the insightful and practical knowledge presented. Moreover, the discussions were actively supported by the participants themselves, who contributed with their experiences and questions, making each session highly engaging and valuable.
