Online Mental Support Sessions: Facing Challenges Together

posted in: News | 0

As part of a short-term project aimed at providing mental support to the population, three online sessions were conducted, offering participants a deeper understanding of their emotions, practical coping strategies, and a sense of community support.

Our topics:

  • “Loss and Psychological Defense Mechanisms” (November 19, 2024)
  • “Living on the Edge: How to Manage Anxiety in an Ever-Changing World” (January 22, 2025)
  • “When the Heart is Tired: How to Cope with Loss and Stay Resilient” (January 27, 2025)

The sessions were led by Anna Ruban and Viktoriya Sukharyeva, experienced psychologists who provided valuable insights into how the psyche responds to stress and shared effective self-help techniques.

Approximately 90 unique participants joined the sessions from various cities and countries, including Ukraine, Poland, Germany, and the United States. The geography was remarkably diverse, with attendees from Kyiv, Lviv, Kramatorsk, Los Angeles, Okhtyrka, Sumy, Hamburg, and many other locations.

Recordings of the lectures are available on our “Psychoeducation” YouTube channel in an edited format, preserving the valuable information while omitting practical case discussions and sensitive individual topics.
