On March 6, American University Kyiv, in collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine (AmCham), hosted a pivotal session as part of the AmCham Business School series. The event was led by our esteemed CEO, Hanna Shvindina, who is renowned for her expertise and innovative approach in the field of professional development and workplace well-being.

The session, titled “Stress and Performance Management,” provided invaluable insights into the complex nature of stress and its profound impact on productivity, especially for managers, professionals, and business leaders. Hanna Shvindina, drawing from her extensive knowledge as an AUK Associate Professor, explored the intricate relationship between stress and performance. She emphasized the importance of mental health, noting that a healthy state of mind is crucial for decision-making, creativity, and maintaining effective leadership.

In today’s fast-paced and high-pressure business environment, the mental well-being of professionals cannot be overstated. Stress, if not managed effectively, can lead to burnout, reduced productivity, and can even affect personal lives. The session underscored the significance of creating sustainable, comfortable workplace conditions that not only cater to physical needs but also nurture mental health.

The Lifelong Learning Centre is committed to fostering an environment where the importance of mental health is recognized and prioritized. We believe that understanding and managing stress is not just a personal responsibility, but a key component of professional development and organizational success.

We invite our community to stay connected and informed about our upcoming sessions, which will continue to address vital topics relevant to today’s world.
