The national online event “Joining Efforts – Making the Strong Stronger” took place

The “JOINING EFFORTS – MAKING THE STRONG STRONGER” national online event was recently hosted, marking a significant step in Ukraine’s ongoing response to the challenges of the Russian aggressive War against our country. This pivotal gathering brought together a diverse group of attendees, including veterans’ organization representatives, experts, veterans themselves, and government officials. Their focus was on discussing the current landscape and established best practices for the reintegration of veterans within Ukraine.

Yana Dragovenko-Kaliukina, the project coordinator for “Reintegration of War Veterans through Educational Opportunities” at DVV International in Ukraine, emphasized that addressing the needs of veterans extends beyond integration; it’s about enriching their quality of life across various sectors.

Dr. Hanna Shvindina, CEO of the NGO Lifelong Learning Centre, also participated in this critical forum. The event was rich with insights from several key speakers, including Dragovenko-Kaliukina herself; Oksana Kolyada, Project Director of “Space of Opportunities” NGO; Oleksandr Tereshchenko, a war veteran, former Deputy Minister for Veterans Affairs (2019-2021), and founder of the O. Tereshchenko International Charitable Foundation; Serhiy Poznyak, head of the ATO Veterans Entrepreneurs Association; Oleksandr Vitsan, case manager at the After Service Foundation; along with numerous other notable contributors. These speakers not only shared their visions for the future support of veterans but also inspired all attendees to continue striving for progress.
