On March 30, 2023, the Lifelong Learning Centre, in collaboration with DVV International Ukraine, organized a significant event at the Congress Center of Sumy State University titled “Adult Education as a Driver for Development and Post-War Recovery in the Sumy Community.” The event brought together representatives from the Sumy City Council, the university community, civil society organizations, businesses, international organizations, and humanitarian funds to explore opportunities for the development of adult education for the post-war reconstruction of our community.
The meeting aimed to stimulate discourse on adult education among key decision-makers in the community in the context of opportunities created by the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine and to synchronize efforts in this direction.
Lifelong education is a crucial component of continuous education for the economic, social, and scientific development of the state. This initiative underlines the importance of adult education in contributing significantly to the rebuilding and advancement of the community in the post-war context.
