On October 13, 2021, the public organization “Lifelong Education Center” held the first evening festival of non-formal education, “The Art of Learning Together,” on the occasion of the German Weeks in Ukraine.
Guests from the German city of Celle came to the festival: the head of the People’s University of Celle (vhs Celle), Liliane Steinke, and the head of the board of this university, Michaela Blok.
As part of the festival, a round table was held with invited guests from Celle, as well as representatives of DVV International in Ukraine, Mr. Levan Kvachadze, regional director in Ukraine, Moldova, and Belarus, Mr. Oleh Smirnov, director of the DVV International representative office in Ukraine, and Ms. Oksana Kubrak, head of the department “Project Office” of the Sumy City Council.
During one evening, 36 trainings and master classes took place in the Congress Center of Sumy State University, in which about 300 people took part. At three thematic exhibitions of the festival, works of modern art were presented, the impressions of which the participants had the opportunity to share during a coffee break. In addition to offline events, an equally useful online program was arranged.
The event was held with the support of the German Embassy in Ukraine, Sumy State University, DVV International in Ukraine, and Sumy City Council. The festival was held in compliance with all the requirements of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on preventing the spread of COVID-19. Participants were given protective masks.
